To maintain the sharpness and condition of Masahiro knives, it is recommended to hand wash them and wipe dry. Do not put them in the dishwasher. Periodically sharpen the blades using a whetstone.
While Masahiro knives are quite robust, we do not recommend using them for cutting through bones. This can potentially damage the blade. For such tasks, it’s better to use specialized cleaver-style knives.
